The Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 is a high-performance device intended for starting and stopping asynchronous motors within the voltage range of 208V to 690V. It is designed to meet the demands of both normal and heavy-duty applications, with an operational rated current of 250A in normal duty.

This starter is capable of supplying motors ranging from 75kW to 250kW, depending on the mains voltage. It is designed for digitization and connectivity, optimized to meet cybersecurity standards, thereby simplifying project execution and maximizing application availability.

The starter features torque control (TCS) for efficient acceleration and deceleration. It also offers dynamic braking and DC injection for stopping high inertia applications. The device can be connected in-line or inside the delta to reduce its operational current.

The embedded test routine simplifies commissioning within the delta. The starter has dimensions of 320mm (width) x 277mm (depth) x 380mm (height) and weighs 18.2kg. It is designed to address process, infrastructure, and industrial machine applications.

The Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 conforms to IEC/EN60947-4-1 and is certified CE, cULus, UKCA, CCC, RCM, EAC, Marine certified DNV, ABS, BV, and CCS. It has a common display terminal, remote mounting kit, and communication modules with Altivar Drives.
