The soft starter for asynchronous motors, designated as ATS48, provides torque-controlled soft starting and stopping capabilities utilizing six thyristors. This unit operates within a supply voltage range of 208V to 690V AC, supporting motors with power ratings up to 37 kW (at 690V) or 40 hp (at 575V) for standard applications. It integrates functions for deceleration and protection of both the machine and motor, facilitating communication with various control systems.
