The XS4 M18 is a cylindrical inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of metal objects. With a sensing distance of 8mm and a diameter of 18mm, this sensor is particularly suited for applications requiring minimal wear on fragile or freshly painted surfaces. The product is housed in a durable PPS enclosure which provides excellent resistance to harsh industrial environments.

It operates on a 12...24 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection and features a M12 male connector for electrical connection. The sensor supports both PNP and NPN discrete output types, allowing for programmable functions as either normally open or normally closed. The XS4 M18 is not suitable for flush mounting and is characterized by a fixed body type.

Designed for high performance, the sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 2000 Hz and is capable of handling a switching capacity of up to 200 mA. The product also features an LED indicator to signal output states. With an IP67 rating in accordance with IEC 60529, it is well-protected against dust and water ingress, making it ideal for various industrial applications.
