The nanoScan3 by SICK is the smallest safety laser scanner available, designed for safeguarding and localization of mobile platforms. Utilizing the advanced safeHDDM® scanning technology, it delivers highly accurate measurement data while maintaining exceptional resistance to difficult lighting conditions, dust, and dirt. This makes it ideal for indoor applications where precision and reliability are paramount.
The nanoScan3 Core I/O version offers a protective field range of up to 3 meters and warning field ranges up to 10 meters, with a maximum measurement range of 40 meters. It can monitor up to four fields simultaneously and supports up to eight configurable fields. The scanner features a 275° scanning angle and configurable resolution options ranging from 20 mm to 200 mm, ensuring flexibility for various applications.
With compliance to Type 3 (IEC 61496), SIL 2 (IEC 61508), and PL d (EN ISO 13849) safety standards, the nanoScan3 guarantees high safety integrity and reliability. It includes essential safety functions such as restart interlock, external device monitoring (EDM), and safe contour detection. The device is equipped with an integrated configuration memory and supports data output via Ethernet for seamless integration into existing systems.
