Chanterie Dekzeilen Baches

Chanterie nv/sa, also known as Chanterie Dekzeilen-Baches, is a Belgian manufacturer and supplier of tailor-made tarpaulins, covers, and associated parts, established in 1865. The company's origins trace back to Markegem in 1865 as a flax retting business for rope production, expanding into the manufacture of flax and cotton canvases for the transport sector, millers, and farmers by 1870. In the early 1880s, Chanterie diversified into a textile workshop for flax aprons and later workwear. New buildings were constructed in Deinze in 1928, and production of polyester PVC tarpaulins, along with high-frequency welding, began in the late 1960s. In 1981, the tarpaulin cover department spun off as P.V.B.A. Chanterie, managed by Frans Van Cauwenberghe, and in 1998, Dirk Van Cauwenberghe established Chanterie Dekzeilen-Baches, the current tarpaulin operation. Chanterie specializes in producing high-quality PVC tarpaulins for diverse applications including transport and industrial uses, along with solutions for private customers, offering various tarpaulin types such as foam, mesh, and standard, used in industrial curtains that can be fixed or retractable, often incorporating rails, wheels, or rings. They also provide comprehensive repair, maintenance, and a range of custom services, including traditional advertising painting and modern digital printing on tarpaulins.
