For maintenance, production & MRO teams

Your spare parts are worth more than your ERP can tell you.

Automa.Net takes your material master as it sits - no cleansing, no integration - and reads it against 36M+ live offers from 750+ verified suppliers. What comes back are three ways to act: stop overpaying, find what you already own, and turn idle stock back into working capital.

Why this is hard

Nobody in the group can answer the simplest question: do we already own this part?

Not because the data is missing. Because it was written five times, by five teams, in five conventions, and no system was ever asked to reconcile them.

Naming

The record describes the buyer, not the part

A power supply entered as PSU 24VDC 5A SCHNEID ABL8 in one plant and Netzteil Phaseo 24V in another are the same object with nothing in common on screen. Search returns nothing, so somebody orders a new one.

Coverage

Two fields populated out of eleven

Manufacturer, product range, voltage, mounting, lifecycle status - the attributes people actually filter and compare by are the ones missing. What is left cannot support planning, benchmarking or a sale.

Isolation

Every site optimises alone

A part sits above maximum in one plant while another raises a purchase order for it at full list price. Both decisions are locally correct and the group pays twice.

Obsolescence

Obsolescence is discovered by a breakdown, not by a report

Nobody screens the material master for end-of-life components, so obsolescence management happens at the worst possible moment - when the line is down and the part is no longer made. The alternative on offer is a twelve-month data programme nobody finishes.

Three ways to act

MRO inventory optimization starts in one file. Three places the money is sitting.

Most MRO savings hide in the same file: the prices you pay, the records nobody can read, and the stock everyone forgot. Each path is a separate service - start with whichever hurts most.

Path 01 · Procurement

Price intelligence & PPV

25-40%Saved on non-critical parts through certified refurbished units

Every line of your spend compared against the live market, against the price your other plants pay, and against the refurbished equivalent that does the same job.

  • Purchase price variance across sites, suppliers and time
  • Benchmark against 36M+ live offers
  • PO stop alert when another plant already holds the part
  • Obsolescence and lead-time risk flagged on upload

Path 02 · Warehouse data

The Golden Record

40-50%Of the material master mapped and enriched within the first 48 hours

Inconsistent, duplicated, half-empty records rebuilt into one standard your ERP and every site can read - from the data you already have, as it is.

  • Duplicates surfaced across the group, whatever the local naming
  • OEM number, brand, technical attributes and lifecycle populated
  • Obsolescence mapping: successors resolved for end-of-life parts
  • S/4HANA-ready output, 92% data readiness by day 45

Path 03 · Surplus

Strategic asset recovery

25%/yrOf an idle part's value lost to storage, insurance and depreciation

Idle and above-max stock checked against the rest of the group first, then converted into cash or credit through the recovery route that fits your timeline.

  • Internal redeployment considered before anything is sold
  • Outright purchase, fulfilment or your own listing
  • Pickup, sorting, photography and listing handled for you
  • 12+ global sales channels, anonymous listing on request

How the work runs

One intake for all three. The paths separate after 48 hours.

Whichever service you came for, the first two steps are the same file and the same 48 hours. What arrives after that depends on which question you need answered.

You send one export

Material master or spend file, CSV or Excel, straight out of SAP, Infor, Maximo or a spreadsheet. No pre-cleaning, no field mapping, no access to your systems.

0248 hours

Records are matched and enriched

40-50% of your material master resolved against our product catalogue, with manufacturer, part number, attributes and lifecycle status filled in. This is the layer everything else is built on.

Then the paths separate

Your team's part is the export and the decisions. The matching, enrichment, benchmarking and listing work sits with AutomaMRO Intelligence and the people running it.

Customer story

Automa.Net delivered a comprehensive data cleanup and enrichment engine that has fundamentally changed our workflow. We now successfully avoid external purchases by utilizing the platform's cross-site visibility - sourcing critical parts from our sister plant's existing stock instead of buying new. For duplicated stock alone, we identified significant redundant inventory in a single plant.

Crucially, the platform has reduced potential risks of downtime. Our team now operates with far greater confidence, relying on the system's automated successor data rather than time-consuming manual searches. We've also flagged critical materials that were invisible risks due to missing SAP data.

Where the numbers come from

Every figure on this page is measured against something.

The benchmark is not a survey and not an index. It is built from live offers published by verified suppliers and from a catalogue of industrial products normalised to manufacturer part numbers.

The catalogue
10.5M+ products, OEM-normalised
Built from manufacturer documentation and distributor data across 9000+ brands, with attributes, lifecycle status and successors resolved to the part number rather than to a description.
The market side
36M+ live offers from 750+ suppliers
Offers published by vetted distributors, stockists and repair specialists trading on the marketplace, refreshed continuously - not a historical price list.
The outcome figures
Observed ranges, not projections
40-50% first-pass mapping, 92% readiness by day 45, 3-8% exact duplicates and 25-40% refurbished savings are the ranges we see across customer datasets. What your file returns depends on what it contains.

Frequently asked questions

Our material master is a mess. Where do we start?

With an export, not with a cleansing project. The data is accepted exactly as it sits in your ERP - abbreviations, local naming, missing fields and all. Matching and enrichment happen on our side, which is why the first mapped view arrives in 48 hours rather than after a twelve-month data programme. The full method is described on the Golden Record page.

What do you need from us, and does it touch our ERP?

One export in CSV or Excel: part numbers, descriptions and, where you have them, quantities and prices paid. Nothing is connected to your ERP at any stage - the exchange is file-based in both directions, and you get enriched records back in a format your system can ingest. Teams that later want automation can move to an integration, but nothing here depends on it.

How quickly do we see something usable?

Within 48 hours you get 40-50% of the material master mapped and enriched, plus a first duplicate list - enough to judge the value before committing further. The full priced spend file follows in week 1-2, and data readiness of around 92% is reached by day 45.

Is this software we operate, or work you do for us?

Both, in that order. The matching, enrichment and benchmarking are done on our side and delivered as a result you can read - your team sends a file and reviews what comes back. The dashboards, alerts and surplus listings are then yours to use day to day. Nobody needs to be trained on a new system before the first results arrive.

Do we have to take all three services?

No. Procurement price intelligence, the Golden Record and surplus recovery run independently and most teams start with one. They do reinforce each other - clean records make benchmarking sharper, and benchmarking makes the value of idle stock obvious. If idle stock is the pressing problem, start with surplus asset recovery.

Do we have to buy or sell through Automa.Net?

No. The benchmark tells you what a part costs on the market and who has it; whether you order from your existing supplier, from a member of the marketplace or not at all is your decision. The same applies to surplus - internal redeployment across your own plants is checked before anything is offered for sale. How the pricing side works is described on the price intelligence page.

What happens to the data we send?

It is processed to match and enrich your records, and nothing else. It is never sold, never shared with other members and never published with your company attached to it - stock offered for sale can be listed anonymously.

Send one export. See what your spare parts are actually worth.

Within 48 hours you get a mapped view of your material master and a first duplicate list. The priced spend file, the Golden Record and the surplus valuation follow from there. No commitment attached to the result.
