Founded in 1999, InSystems Automation transitioned to a limited liability company in 2001. Under the leadership of business managers Henry Stubert and Torsten Gast, the company has since grown to employ over 35 highly qualified technicians and mechanics in Berlin. In 2007, InSystems Automation Inc. was established in Washington, NC, in response to an increasing number of customers in the USA. InSystems specializes in innovative automation technology and special purpose machines for production, material flow, and quality control. Its services encompass all aspects of the process, from requirements analysis to electrical engineering, installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance, and service. In recent years, automation engineering has advanced rapidly. Identification systems have enabled data capture and analysis during production, facilitating quality control, material flow, and the interconnection of production facilities. As production models become more diverse and batch sizes become smaller, machines and facilities need to be quickly retooled and maintain high availability to maximize production time. As a general contractor, InSystems is equipped to meet these challenges by providing special purpose machines, facilities, and full technical service to its clients. In 2012, InSystems shifted its focus to the manufacture of autonomous navigation transport robots that can be tailored to meet client specifications and carry loads from 30 to 1,000 kilograms. The robots, branded proANT, are integrated into existing production controls as fleets. InSystems has long been ahead of the curve in designing intelligent automation solutions with continuous data collection, storage, and visualization. The combination of industrial production and information technology with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and intelligent control systems enables efficient machines and contributes significantly to product quality assurance. With decades of experience in software programming, sensors, and identification through laser, camera, and RFID, InSystems is a particularly competent partner for Industry 4.0 applications. In June 2016, InSystems opened a showroom in Adlershof to demonstrate Industry 4.0 applications to customers, prospects, students, and pupils. The facility is also used to extensively test the proANTs before delivery for customer projects. Additionally, the showroom features a pick-2-light assembly guidance system to enable faster and error-free manual work. The showroom is open during regular hours or by appointment, and a live stream is available.
