Peignage Dumortier, established in 1896, is a global leader in textile fiber processing, specializing in custom transformation for all spinning systems. With over 125 years of industrial history in Tourcoing, the company initially focused on washing, carding, and combing wool for the local market. Since 1963, Peignage Dumortier has diversified into synthetic fiber transformation, developing unique expertise and adapting its industrial tools to new fiber types. The company expanded internationally in the 1990s, prioritizing technical and functional fibers, and forming strong partnerships to deliver high-performance synthetic and artificial fiber products. Since 2018 under Cédric Auplat's leadership, Peignage Dumortier has modernized its operations, expanded into natural, animal, and vegetable fiber processing, and launched dedicated natural fiber workshops to meet ecological demands. In 2024, Peignage Dumortier acquired BWK's assets and a 24,000 m² industrial site to enhance its expertise in commodity fibers and expand production and storage capabilities.
