Regionalne Centrum Gospodarki Wodno-Ściekowej S.A. (RCGW S.A.) is a pioneering Polish company in water and wastewater management, known for its advanced wastewater treatment plant in Tychy capable of treating 15 million cubic meters annually. The company is a key producer of green energy from renewable sources, achieving energy self-sufficiency for its Tychy wastewater treatment plant with production exceeding 150% of its own consumption, a leading result in Europe. RCGW S.A. sells surplus energy to the Tauron grid and is developing the Tychy Water Park, powered by biomethane from its treatment plant. Actively involved in R&D, RCGW S.A. secured 3.64 million PLN in funding for innovative wastewater sludge gasification technology to further increase renewable energy production. The company holds certified Integrated Management Systems, including EMAS, ISO 14001, and is the first municipal company in Poland with ISO 50001 for energy management. RCGW S.A. manages approximately 400 km of sanitary sewage networks and 42 pumping stations, offering modern equipment for sewer cleaning and inspection. Awarded the European Commission's Green Oscar (EMAS Awards) in 2015, RCGW S.A. is recognized for its significant contributions to sustainable urban development and environmental protection.
