RESISTEL is a French manufacturer and designer of industrial power resistive equipment, established in 1989, specializing in high-performance resistors and offering comprehensive solutions for railway traction systems. With over 30 years of experience and ISO 9001 certification, the company provides robust resistive equipment, including traction resistors up to 5000A, for diverse clients such as TGV, TER, EURODISNEY, CITADIS, and METRO. Their product range extends to motor starting and braking resistors, earthing resistors, harmonic filter resistors, and load banks. RESISTEL's motor braking resistors, from 100W to several megawatts, are designed for all types of variable speed drives and are known for their reliability in severe operational cycles, compatible with units like Schneider ATV71/ATV61. The portfolio also includes ventilated resistors for high load dissipation (100 kW to 2 MW), liquid-cooled resistors for demanding marine environments (25 kW to 2.5 MW), and custom resistors for elevators and hoists up to 500 kW. Since 1994, RESISTEL has offered load bank rental services, expanded significantly after merging with KVA Applications in 2021.
