Sithara Limited, founded in 1964 by entrepreneur Esmond Wickremesinghe, is Sri Lanka's premier printing ink manufacturing company, specializing in high-quality offset, flexographic, and gravure inks, along with protective coatings and varnishes. The company has a rich history of technological advancement, including a Technology Transfer Agreement with Sun Chemicals in 1982/83 and aid from the United States in the 1990s to upgrade facilities and employee training. Sithara operates a cutting-edge manufacturing facility capable of producing liquid inks in batches up to 1000 kgs and paste inks up to 150 kgs, adhering to international quality standards. They serve a diverse portfolio of multinational clients across global markets with products like surface printing inks and high heat resistant inks.
