Sundplast

Sundplast AB is a Swedish injection molding company, established in December 1979 by Jonny Sundin in Helsingborg, specializing in high-quality injection-molded plastic parts and customized plastic solutions. The company began with Jonny handling customer acquisition and production, later joined by his wife Lotta Sundin in 1981, who managed administration, order processing, and finance. Sundplast launched its Safecap product range in 1983 and introduced Safebox, UN-certified waste containers, in 1990 in response to local municipality needs. Over the years, Sundplast expanded through strategic acquisitions, including Coram Scandinavias manufacturing unit in 1998, Markisol in 2003, Helsingborgs Industriplast in 2005, S-A Persson in 2015, and Sveaplast in 2016, consolidating production in Helsingborg. The company achieved ISO 9001 quality certification in 1995 and ISO 14000 environmental certification in 1999, demonstrating its commitment to quality and sustainability. In 2013, Sundplast established operations in Germany to serve the broader European market and in 2015, Johan Sundin, Jonny's son, took over as CEO, having been with the company since 2004. Sundplast has continuously invested in its infrastructure, including expanding production and warehouse facilities, and automating packaging processes for its Safecaps range in 2018, doubling its production area in 2021 with a 1050 square meter addition. The company focuses on developing and recommending environmentally adapted materials like PIR, PCR, and bio-based plastics.
