The Gefran GTF series of advanced microprocessor-based solid-state controllers offers compact and optimized solutions for various types of heating elements. These devices support current levels ranging from 25A to 250A and rated voltages from 480Vac to 600Vac. The configurable control input accepts 0-10V, 0/4-20mA signals, potentiometers, and logic signals, including PWM modes for cost-effective solutions. The controllers can be operated via Modbus RTU serial communication, with daisy-chain cascading facilitated by RJ10 plug-in connectors or various types of optional Fieldbus interfaces.Multiple firing modes are software-configurable, including Zero Crossing for conventional loads, Burst-Firing for systems with low thermal inertia, Half Single Cycle Zero Crossing for short-wave infrared lamps, and Phase Angle control for specialized heating elements. Soft Start and Soft Stop ramp functions limit current peaks and maximum RMS current levels.GTF controllers provide comprehensive diagnostics for current, voltage, power, and temperature, including alarms for load break, short-circuited SCRs, overcurrent, and internal fuse failure. Thanks to advanced hardware and software solutions, these controllers precisely manage various load types, making them ideal for critical applications such as special resistors and Super Kanthal™ heating elements.Device parameters can be configured from a PC using simple software that allows all settings to be saved in a configuration file. The RS485 serial connection with Modbus RTU protocol enables monitoring and control of currents, voltages, power, and device status from a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) or a PLC.
