The AF16ZB 48-130V 50/60HZ-DC contactors are designed to meet the latest railway rolling stock standards, enabling installation in passenger or driver cabins for trains operating frequently in tunnels or undergrounds. These contactors are primarily used for controlling 3-phase motors and power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. They offer improved compactness due to reduced dimensions and side-by-side mounting, requiring less than 15% width from -40 °C to +70 °C. These contactors comply with all main rolling stock standards: IEC 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-5-1, IEC 60077-1/-2 and applicable parts of EN 50155 standards. They also meet the shock and vibration withstand requirements as per IEC 61373 cat. 1, class B. The contactors achieve high levels in fire and smoke behavior, complying with European standard EN 45545-2 (HL2, HL3 hazard levels) in group mounting. They also reduce train energy consumption by using lighter devices that require 68% less coil energy in operation. The electronic coil interface handles large DC voltage fluctuations and accepts several Uc DC control voltages for battery supply and sinusoidal AC 50/60 Hz control supplies. The maximum permitted AC 50/60 Hz control voltage must not be exceeded (see technical data). A wide range of auxiliary contact blocks are available for front and side mounting.
