The CLASS 3400 (H34) Smart Meter facilitates dual protocol communications, permitting simultaneous interaction with up to two energy monitoring systems, which may include Building Automation Systems (BAS) for energy monitoring and billing or Measurement and Verification (M&V) reporting tools. The meter supports an optional expanded feature package that includes built-in load control capabilities and two pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh.

Featuring an advanced 4-line LCD display with backlight, the meter is equipped with RS485 and Ethernet communication interfaces. The regulatory approvals for this device include ANSI C12.20 and UL/CUL certifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

With dimensions of 6.5 inches in width, 7.8 inches in height, and 3.4 inches in depth, it is housed in a JIC steel enclosure. The CLASS 3400 operates effectively across a broad temperature range, from -4°F (-20°C) to a maximum of 122°F (50°C), and can withstand a maximum operating humidity of 95% non-condensing. This meter's accuracy is rated at ±1% from 1% to 100% of the rated load, making it suitable for precise electrical usage monitoring in commercial and industrial environments.
