FR-D720S-025SC-EC is a compact Variable Speed/Frequency Drive (VSD/VFD) from the FREQROL FR-D700 series by Mitsubishi Electric, designed for reliable and efficient motor control in industrial applications.
The drive operates with a single-phase 200–240Vac (220/230Vac nominal) input and delivers 0.4kW (1/2HP) output power with a rated current of 2.5A. It provides an output frequency range of 0.2 to 400Hz, ensuring precise speed control for a wide variety of machines and processes.
Equipped with advanced motor control features such as Soft-PWM control, high carrier frequency PWM, slip compensation, PID control, multi-speed operation, offline auto-tuning, and optimum excitation control, the inverter ensures stable and energy-efficient performance.
The unit includes an integrated Safety Stop function (SS1), compliant with EN ISO 13849-1 Category 3, IEC 61508 SIL2, and EN 62061 (PLd), making it suitable for safety-related applications. Built-in Modbus RTU (RS-485) communication enables easy integration with PLC and automation systems.
With IP20 protection and heatsink cooling, the FR-D720S-025SC-EC is ideal for installations inside control cabinets. Typical applications include conveyors, lifts, packaging machines, machine tools, HVAC systems, fans, and pumps.
