The SMC C(D)Q2-Z Compact Cylinder is a double acting, single rod cylinder designed for space-saving applications. This cylinder features a newly redesigned body that enhances auto-switch mounting capabilities and reduces overall weight by 5-13% compared to the previous CQ2 series. The compact design allows for the mounting of small auto switches on four surfaces for bore sizes from 32 to 100 mm, and on two surfaces for bore sizes from 12 to 25 mm, without any projection of the auto switch.

The cylinder is available in a wide range of bore sizes from 12 mm to 100 mm and offers a standard stroke range of 5 to 100 mm. It supports various port thread types including Rc, NPT, and G for bore sizes from 32 to 100 mm. The cylinder's built-in magnet ensures reliable operation and easy integration with auto switches.

Designed for use with SMC's dual-color, solid-state auto switches, the integrated auto-switch channel provides total protection against accidental damage, enhancing safety during installation and maintenance. The cylinder also includes added pivot brackets for double clevis and compact type foot brackets, and part numbers with rod end bracket and/or mounting bolt are available, eliminating the need to order these components separately.
