Keyence LR-W500C

The Keyence LR-W500C is a self-contained full-spectrum sensor equipped with an M12 connector. This sensor is designed to provide reliable detection over a range of 30 to 500 mm, making it suitable for various industrial applications. The adjustable spot size, ranging from approximately ø3.5 mm at 100 mm to ø18 mm at 500 mm, ensures precise detection tailored to specific needs.

Featuring a white LED light source, the LR-W500C offers high visibility and accuracy. The sensor includes a mutual interference reduction function, allowing up to two units to operate simultaneously with alternate frequencies. The response time is selectable, with options ranging from 200 µs to 500 ms, providing flexibility for different operational requirements.

The LR-W500C supports both NPN and PNP open collector outputs, with a control output of 30 VDC or less and 50 mA or less. It also includes protection circuits against reverse power connection, power supply surge, output overcurrent, output surge, and reverse output connection, ensuring reliable and safe operation.

With an IP65/IP67 enclosure rating, the sensor is highly resistant to dust and water, making it suitable for harsh environments. It operates within a temperature range of -20 to +50 °C and can withstand vibrations and shocks, ensuring durability and longevity.
