Product Description
The 3-way butterfly valve is designed for versatile applications, including chilled, hot, and cooling tower water systems, as well as two-position steam applications capable of handling pressures up to 50 psi. With a pipe connection size of 5 inches and built according to ASME/ANSI Class 150 standards, this valve ensures reliable performance across various environments.
Constructed from carbon steel with a valve body pattern that facilitates mixing, it features a valve disc made from 316 stainless steel and a valve seat of RTFE. The valve operates with a flow characteristic that is modified linear and unidirectional, providing a flow coefficient of 393 CV (340 Kvs). It is equipped with a fail-in-place actuator that meets NEMA 4X IP66/67 standards, ensuring durability and performance stability.
Operational temperatures range from a minimum of -22 °F (-30 °C) to a maximum of 400 °F (204 °C), while the valve maintains a maximum body pressure rating of ASME/ANSI Class 150 and a maximum differential pressure of 150 psi (1034 kPa). The valve is normally closed and includes a manual operation type with a 7 mm hex crank for additional control.
It is important to note that this valve is not suitable for use with fuels or modulating steam and is designed to operate efficiently in systems with controlled media such as on/off steam control or chilled/hot water with up to 60% glycol.
