Product Description
The Protistor® fuse-links, rated for 690V IEC and 700V UL, offer versatility in equipment design while ensuring optimal protection for modern power conversion systems. With an ampere rating of 550A, these ultra-fast acting fuses are compatible with various worldwide mounting styles and sizes.
Engineered specifically for safeguarding semiconductors such as diodes, thyristors, and IGBT devices, these fuse-links utilize die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand, which effectively manages arcing characteristics, resulting in a lower I²t and a high interrupting rating of 200 kA. The Designation Code associated with this product line is Protistor® size 32 aR, spanning from 450 to 690VAC (IEC) and 700VAC (UL).
Constructed with silver-plated contact surfaces and non-magnetic hardware, this fuse-link also features a low voltage trip-indicator option that can activate a field mountable microswitch, enhancing operational safety and monitoring capabilities. The body is made from ceramic insulating material, and the connection terminals are crafted from silver-plated brass, ensuring reliable performance under rated conditions.
