Product Description
The square body high-speed fuse with a rating of 450A is designed for applications requiring protection for power conversion equipment operating at voltages of 690VAC (IEC) and 700VAC (UL). This model, categorized under the Protistor® line, utilizes ultra-fast acting fuse-links that accommodate various mounting styles, enhancing flexibility in equipment design.
Engineered specifically for semiconductor protection, this fuse effectively safeguards diodes, thyristors, IGBT, and MOSFET devices. The fuse-link incorporates die-cut elements within solidified sand, which optimizes arcing behavior, resulting in a lower I²t and a high interrupting rating of 200 kA. Furthermore, the fuse features silver-plated contact surfaces and non-magnetic hardware, ensuring reliability in operation.
For enhanced functionality, a low voltage trip indicator can be integrated, providing a means to operate a field mountable microswitch, improving system monitoring and safety. Additionally, the fuse is characterized by a power dissipation of 80W at rated current, making it suitable for demanding applications.
