The DoorScan-DS-4P-1600 is a specialized light curtain system designed for automatic doors, meeting the requirements of DIN 18650/EN 16005. It supports doors with a maximum width of 1600 mm and operates effectively within a detection range of 0 to 3500 mm, utilizing an IRED light source with a wavelength of 850 nm.

With a sensing range of 1400 mm at an installation height of 2100 mm, the system features 20 beams and a light spot diameter of 8 cm at a sensor range of 2000 mm. The background evaluation operating mode ensures reliable performance, while its safety features include a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) of SIL 2 and Performance Level (PL) d, making it suitable for applications requiring functional safety.

Operational parameters include a 24 V DC power supply with maximum current of 320 mA and a power consumption of 7.7 W. The output can be configured to NPN or PNP, supporting switching voltages up to 30 V DC and currents up to 100 mA, with a response time of ≤ 52 ms in standard mode and ≤ 200 ms in boost mode.

Constructed from aluminum and PA, with a polycarbonate optical face, the scanner is housed in a unit measuring 1600 mm in length, 42 mm in height, and 37 mm in depth, and is rated IP54 for protection against dust and water. It operates effectively in ambient temperatures ranging from -30 to 60 °C.
