Product Description

The TC EXTENDER 4001 ETH-1S is a managed Ethernet extender designed for point-to-point communication, facilitating data rates of up to 15.3 Mbps over distances of 20 km using standard copper cabling. It is equipped with one SHDSL port and one LAN port, allowing flexible connectivity options.

This device features replaceable surge protection and offers comprehensive diagnostics via Ethernet, ensuring effective monitoring and management of the network segment. The Ethernet extenders adhere to the ITU-T G.991.2 standard, with advanced multicast filtering capabilities and static IP address configuration for streamlined network management.

With a supply voltage range of 10 V DC to 60 V DC and a nominal voltage of 24 V DC, the extender operates efficiently with a typical current consumption of 200 mA. It supports various protocols including IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, HTTP, and HTTPS, providing a robust framework for communication.

Constructed from aluminum, the device is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, with an operational temperature range of -25 °C to 60 °C and a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C. The degree of protection is rated at IP20, suitable for indoor usage. The device also complies with relevant EMC directives and standards, ensuring reliable performance in industrial applications.
