Product Description

The PLC-INTERFACE, designated as PLC-RPT- 72UC/21HC/RW, is specifically engineered for railway applications that require handling high continuous currents. It comprises a basic terminal block with a push-in connection method and a plug-in miniature relay.

This module supports an input voltage of 72 V DC, functioning effectively within a range from 50.4 V DC to 90 V DC. The temperature class TX allows operation in environments ranging from -40°C to +70°C, making it suitable for various operational conditions.

Notably, the relay features a single contact configuration (1 PDT) with contact material of AgNi. Its maximum switching voltage is rated at 250 V AC/DC, with a minimum switching voltage of 12 V (at 10 mA). The module can manage a maximum inrush current of 30 A (for 300 ms) and a limiting continuous current of 10 A when the appropriate bridge is inserted.

On the coil side, the nominal input voltage is set at 72 V DC, with typical input current at this voltage being 6 mA. The response time is approximately 5 ms, and the release time is around 11 ms, ensuring swift operation.

This module also complies with several standards, including EN 50155, EN 50178, and EN 61373, confirming its suitability for harsh environments. The degree of protection is rated as RT III for the relay and IP20 for the relay base, ensuring adequate safety against environmental factors.
