Product Description

The lightning/surge arrester, designated as VAL-MS-T1/T2 48/12.5/2+0/1U/FM, is suitable for applications requiring surge protection at 48 V DC with a grounded return conductor. This device does not require a risk assessment for Lightning Protection Levels III and IV, ensuring straightforward installation and compliance.

With an IEC test classification of I / II and an EN type of T1 / T2, it is crafted as a DIN rail module that is both two-section and divisible. The arrester features an optical surge protection fault message along with a remote indication contact, facilitating real-time monitoring and alerts. It supports a nominal frequency of 50 Hz (60 Hz), with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 75 V AC and an operating current capacity of 5 mA AC to 1.5 A.

The device has a pollution degree rating of 2 and is designed for a wide range of conductor cross-sections, accommodating both flexible and rigid wires. Its robust housing material is PA 6.6, and it is protected to IP20 when all terminal points are utilized. The operational temperature range is between -40 °C and 80 °C, and it can withstand altitudes up to 2000 m above sea level.
