Product Description
The Ethernet communication adaptor enables seamless integration with Ethernet-based networks, facilitating communication for I/O modules within the Modicon Momentum system. Designed to connect directly to any Momentum I/O module base, this adaptor enhances networking capabilities by providing a time-of-day clock and battery back-up features.
Superseding the previous 170ENT11000 model, it incorporates an improved grounding system and adjusts the location of the communication connector for better accessibility. It operates under the Modbus TCP/IP protocol and weighs 0.07 kg, making it suitable for various applications, including material handling, machine control, and building automation.
The adaptor adheres to Interbus standards for electrical noise immunity and is secured in place by clips. Its operational temperature ranges from 0 to 60 °C, while storage conditions permit -40 to 85 °C. With a maximum cable distance of 1000 meters without a repeater and supporting up to 32 devices per segment, it employs shielded twisted pairs for transmission at a rate of 10 Mbit/s. Additionally, compliance with safety standards is ensured through certifications such as UL, FM Class 1 Division 2, and CSA.
