The Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 is engineered for the control of asynchronous motors, accommodating a supply voltage range of 208V to 690V, and is capable of managing a rated operational current of 790A under normal duty conditions. This device supports motor outputs ranging from 220kW to 710kW, depending on the supply voltage, and is suitable for both normal and heavy-duty applications.

With dimensions of 770mm in width, 329mm in depth, and 890mm in height, the ATS480 weighs 115kg. It features advanced torque control (TCS) for precise management of motor acceleration and deceleration, and includes dynamic braking and DC injection capabilities for stopping high-inertia loads. The soft starter can be connected either in-line or in a delta configuration to optimize current usage.
