The XCSDMC coded magnetic switch is part of the Preventa XCS range, intended for the safety control of guard openings and interlocking mechanisms. Its compact rectangular design, measuring 51 x 16 x 7 mm, is constructed from thermoplastic PBT, ensuring durability in various environments.

This device operates at a rated voltage of 24 V DC and can achieve a Safety Level of category 4, Performance Level e, and SIL 3 when connected to a suitable monitoring system and correctly wired in accordance with EN/ISO 13849-1 and EN/IEC 61508 standards. The switch supports detection from three approach directions and incorporates 2 normally closed staggered contacts, providing reliable performance.

With an assured operating distance of 5 mm and a tripping distance of 15 mm, the switch maintains high switching reliability, featuring an electrical durability of 1,200,000 cycles. It is rated for a maximum operational current of 100 mA and a maximum switching voltage of 100 V DC. Environmental resilience is ensured with an IP66/IP67 rating, allowing for operation in harsh conditions ranging from -25°C to 85°C.
