Product Description
The XCSTE Key Operated Safety Switch is designed for use on guard doors, providing locking via solenoid. It features a red coated polyamide body and an adjustable turret head, enhancing versatility during installation with a 1/2" NPT cable gland entry.
This safety switch includes 1 normally closed and 1 normally open slow-break (break-before-make) main contacts, which are actuated by a key. The contact states are indicated upon key insertion. Additionally, it has 1 normally closed auxiliary contact actuated by the solenoid, reflecting its state when the solenoid is not energized. The reliability data, according to B10D standards, is rated at 5,000,000.
With an IP67 degree of protection, this device is suitable for demanding environments. It adheres to various standards, including EN/ISO 14119, EN/IEC 60204-1, EN/IEC 60947-5-1, UL 508, and CSA C22.2 No 14. When properly connected to an appropriate safety control unit, it meets Category 4 requirements, achieving performance level PL e and SIL 3 as defined in EN/ISO 13849-1 and EN/IEC 61508.
