The XS5 M8 inductive proximity sensor is designed for non-contact detection of metallic objects, operating effectively within a sensing range of up to 60 mm. Utilizing an electromagnetic field produced by its oscillator, this sensor detects any metallic object that enters its field. With a nominal sensing distance of 1.5 mm, it supports a normally closed PNP discrete output and offers a switching frequency of 5000 Hz.

Constructed from stainless steel, this cylindrical sensor has dimensions of 45 mm in length and 8 mm in diameter, weighing only 0.025 kg.
