Giving Industrial Machinery a Second Life – Our Story from Warsaw Industry Maintenance 2025

Automa.Net Team

In January 2025, we attended the Warsaw Industry Maintenance trade fair, one of the leading events for professionals in industrial automation, maintenance, and asset recovery. It was there that we met a company looking to offload a specialized robotic stand they no longer needed. While the machine was too niche for reuse in its original form, we immediately recognized its hidden potential—as a valuable source of industrial spare parts.

Turning Obsolete Equipment into Opportunity

After an initial conversation, we arranged to pick up the robot directly from the seller’s location. Within days, they provided us with detailed photos, technical documentation, and full specifications of the robot and its components. This transparency allowed us to conduct a precise valuation based on current market demand for spare parts in the automation industry.

We prepared a tailored purchase offer, focusing not on the whole machine, but on the individual components that could be reused or resold. The seller accepted our offer, and by April, we had finalized the deal with support from our partner IndustryMall. The robotic unit was successfully transported, dismantled, and stocked.

Results: Sustainability Meets Business Value

After careful dismantling, we listed all reusable parts on Automa.net and other popular sales platforms. Each component was categorized, priced, and made available to buyers across Europe and beyond.

What did we achieve?

  • Supported manufacturers in recovering capital from idle equipment
  • 🔄 Promoted the circular economy by preventing waste and giving industrial parts a second life
  • ⚙️ Increased availability of hard-to-find components, helping other factories minimize downtime and reduce costs

Components Recovered and Market Value

We recovered a variety of valuable spare parts, including servo drives, sensors, PLC modules, and robotic arms.

Here are some examples of parts we recovered.
