The AG Series Surge Protective Devices are engineered for diverse applications, utilizing advanced TPMOV® (Thermally Protected Metal Oxide Varistor) technology to mitigate the risks associated with conventional MOV failures. The device includes a green LED indicator for monitoring protection status. Type 1 installations are designed for outdoor use before service entrances and utility meter cabinets, while Type 2 applications are intended for setups after service entrances. Common outdoor applications encompass irrigation systems, agricultural machinery, lighting fixtures, HVACR controls, and motors. With a nominal discharge current of 20 kA and a short circuit current rating of 50 kA, this device is compliant with UL standards as per ANSI/UL 1449, 3rd edition, and certified by CSA. This ensures reliable performance and safety in commercial and industrial environments. The surge protective device is also rated for maximum continuous operating voltages of 420 V for LN and LG, and 840 V for LL and L1-L2, supporting robust protection in demanding settings.
