Alconza has become an important point of reference in the marine market, being one of the leading manufacturers in the world (by total installed power) of ship electrical propulsion motors (OFSV, PSV, LNG, icebreakers, oceanographic and AHTS vessels, dredgers, flotels, ferries, defence ships, cable layers, pipe layers. etc.), and of different types of offshore platforms (drilling and oil and gas extraction, etc.) equipped with diesel-electric propulsion. Its marine motors and generators, are in strict compliance with international regulations and meet the restrictions imposed by the classification societies (DNV, RMRS, BV, etc.). The following are some of the customers they supply with machinery for the marine sector: Wärtsilä (previously Aker Kværner Power & Automation Systems AS), IHC Drives & Automation, Rolls-Royce, EMC, Schottel, Imtech, Barillec, General Electric PC. In accordance with the business strategy, Alconza designs and manufactures hydroelectric generators coupled to turbines. Alconza has worked and works for several clients in the hydraulic plant sector: Andritz Hydro, Voith Hydro, Alstom, etc. Additionally Alconza is present in many project of different industrial sectors, where flexibility and exclusivity is a must.
