On May 8th 2017, Bacci S.r.l., a renowned innovator and producer of multi-axis CNC machines for woodworking and composite materials, announced the formation of Bacci Automation following the acquisition of FA Robot S.r.l. Based in Pradamano (Ud), Italy, FA Robot is an expert in the design and production of automation systems for a range of industries, from woodworking and metalworking to materials handling. With more than 350 systems delivered, FA Robot is known for its inventive and experienced approach to automation and robotics, as well as its development of internal vision systems and supervisory software. It also acts as a reseller of FANUC's anthropomorphic robots. Founded in 1918, Bacci specializes in woodworking technology, composite materials and non-ferrous metals, and offers a variety of CNC machines, integrated systems and software for the furniture, door and window, sports equipment and musical instrument manufacturing industries. It also produces components for the mould industry and the automotive and aerospace industries. The group, which is still under the control of the Bacci family, now in its fourth generation, generated a turnover of over 35 million euros in 2016 with 90 employees worldwide.
