CTA International

CTA International is a 50/50 Joint Venture Company established in 1994 by Royal Ordnance (BAE Systems) and Giat Industries (KNDS France), based in Bourges/France. Specializing in Cased Telescoped Armament Systems, the company is dedicated to the development, qualification, production, and in-service support of the 40CTAS. As the Design Authority, CTA International grants production licenses for 40CT ammunition to licensees like KNDS Ammo France and BAE Systems. Utilizing a top-down systems approach, CTA International pushes technical boundaries in gun and ammunition design, achieving performance levels unobtainable by isolated designers. The company continuously enhances the 40CTAS, integrating innovative firing functions and designing new ammunition to counter current and future threats, thus setting a new standard in medium caliber armament technology for global defense sectors. The 40CTAS is a modular weapon package including the 40CT cannon, an ammunition handling system, gun control equipment, and a gun mount, adaptable for land or naval turrets, manned or unmanned, and achieving a 4km+ operational range with unmatched armor penetration.
