DECTRIS AG

DECTRIS AG is a leading Swiss developer and manufacturer of high-performance X-ray and electron detectors for scientific research, academic laboratories, and industrial applications worldwide. Founded in 2006 as a spin-off from the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, the company pioneered Hybrid Photon Counting technology to deliver noise-free photon and direct electron-counting detection. The company offers an extensive range of hybrid-pixel X-ray detectors including the PILATUS4, EIGER2, SELUN, POLLUX, MYTHEN2, and JUNGFRAU series for synchrotron beamlines and laboratory X-ray diffractometers. For electron microscopy applications, DECTRIS manufactures specialized direct electron detectors such as ARINA, ELA, SINGLA, and QUADRO to support 4D STEM, EELS, and microED techniques. In addition to hardware manufacturing, DECTRIS provides scientific software environments like DECTRIS D.LAB, ALBULA, and NOVENA for comprehensive data collection, processing, and workflow management. The company serves global research institutions, synchrotron facilities, original equipment manufacturers, and industrial customers across materials science, life science, and medical imaging sectors. Operating from headquarters in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland, with regional subsidiaries in the United States and Japan, DECTRIS delivers customized detection solutions, technical support, commissioning, and system integration services.
