Its history dates back to the 19th century, when it primarily focused on regional glass industry services, including glass furnace construction and repair, metal mold production for glassworks, and manufacturing single-purpose glass machines. DESKO a.s. became part of the Preciosa group in 2002. In 1997, its business activities expanded to include the production of electrotechnical products from ABB EP Jablonec nad Nisou, a segment that was a full part of DESKO's production program until 2025. The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and repairing pot furnaces, day tanks, and small-capacity continuous tanks with both gas and electric heating for melting crystal and colored glass, ensuring reliability and energy efficiency.
