METAPROJECTS Research Center Brasimone is an ETS Scientific Research Institution and an accredited Type A High Technology Network laboratory (ID 1696) in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, specializing in electronic and mechatronic engineering and advanced drone technology. As part of the EXADRONE project in partnership with ENEA Centro Ricerche Brasimone, METAPROJECTS operates an automation and control laboratory to design and test remotely piloted aircraft. The company develops high-tech drones equipped with IoT systems, big data capabilities, and innovative sensors for environmental monitoring and safety applications. This includes new generation LIDAR sensors for real-time environmental and water analysis, as well as monitoring sites, nuclear installations, and critical infrastructures like bridges, viaducts, and dams. Their drone technology allows for the detection of critical issues, monitoring of radiological pollution, searching for dispersed radioactive sources, and inspecting nuclear sites. METAPROJECTS also offers comprehensive research and development services, including predictive simulations, advanced electronic design, hardware, firmware, and software development, alongside product industrialization and regulatory certification support. Leveraging over two decades of expertise in motion control, power electronics, sensors, miniaturized GPS localization systems, radiofrequency, and IoT, they provide specialized UAS development and services for public and private sector clients. The company also runs an ENAC-recognized Flight Academy for drone pilot qualification in critical operations, offering specialization courses in photogrammetry, thermography, and precision agriculture, and conducts research into metamaterials for radio frequency power.
