Nijsen is a Dutch family-owned company specializing in transforming by-products from the food industry into high-quality Food-For-Feed raw materials, particularly for pig and Kipster chicken feed. Based in Veulen, near Venray, Nijsen has over 100 colleagues dedicated to sustainable food production for more than 30 years. The company processes over 100,000 tons of foodstuffs annually, reintegrating them into the food cycle as digestible animal feed, which contributes to circular agriculture and a more sustainable pig and poultry sector. Nijsen manages its entire supply chain in-house, from collecting residual streams to producing standardized end products, ensuring full control and hygiene. The company is known for its logistical flexibility, operating 24/7 with its own fleet, and for its innovative approach, being the first in the world with a globally recognized LCA for animal feed. Nijsen continuously develops new circular concepts, including insects, bacterial processes, and fermentation, to increase the value and sustainability of residual streams.
