Tracgrip Hydraulics & Equipment Ltd is a New Zealand-based, family-owned engineering and hydraulics company established in 1950 in Palmerston North, Manawatu. Initially known for manufacturing light earthmoving machinery like backhoes and loaders for Ford and Massey Ferguson tractors, the company evolved to include a strong hydraulics service division. Today, Tracgrip is a leader in engineering, hydraulics, and robotics, operating from 5000 square meters of workshop space with dedicated areas for hydraulic service, fabrication, machining, and engineering assembly. This robust infrastructure enables Tracgrip to undertake large engineering contracts, including extensive experience in producing over 400 HiRail vehicles and 70 excavators for KiwiRail and its contractors, engineered to meet OM9004 regulations. All design work utilizes 3D CAD software and is verified by Certifying Mechanical Engineers, reflecting their ISO 9001 accredited system. Their hydraulic gurus can design new hydraulic systems, upgrade, or troubleshoot existing systems, with extensive knowledge of hydraulic components. Tracgrip offers tailored preventive maintenance programs and undertakes total responsibility for system design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
