Urano Balanças

Urano Balanças, founded in 1983, is one of Brazil's three largest electronic scale manufacturers, offering a diverse product mix for weighing customers across various segments. With factories in Rio Grande do Sul and Pernambuco, a branch in São Paulo, and sales offices in multiple states, Urano has its own sales team, representatives, and a network of resellers, distributors, and technical assistance points throughout Brazil. For over four decades, Urano has developed efficient, high-tech solutions for small and large clients, pioneering in many segments. The company has introduced innovations such as the first 25kg electronic scale for supermarkets, thermal printers for bar codes, network scales with direct product access keypads, and the first network scale with radio frequency data transmission. Urano also developed the Maximus scale, which won the FIERGS Industry Distinction Award, and the TOPMAX-SS Plus scale, capable of printing labels with QR codes or Databar containing product origin, lot, and validity information. In 2024, Urano won the GS1 Brazil Automation Award for its 2D code traceability and validity control solution for supermarkets, and in 2025, it received the GS1 Latam Award for Excellence in Digital Innovation for the same solution.
