The IO-Link input/output module, designated as IOL MOD PL 8XDX/DX E D M12 IP67, offers a separate power supply capable of delivering a total current of 16 A. Each port can handle a current rating of up to 2 A, enabling flexible integration into safety circuits. This device acts as an extension for IO-Link masters, providing both digital input and output functionalities.
With a total of 16 configurable digital inputs and outputs, this module operates within a voltage range of 18 to 30 V DC. The input circuit is of the PNP type, adhering to IEC 61131-2 standards. Each digital input can draw between 2 to 15 mA in high state and a mere 0 to 1.5 mA in low state, with switching levels defined between 11 to 28 V for high and 0 to 5 V for low.
The outputs are also configurable, supporting a maximum current load of 2000 mA per output and a total output current of 16 A, with built-in short-circuit protection. The actuator supply for the outputs is provided via AUX voltage. Communication is facilitated through the IO-Link interface, conforming to the SDCI standard and capable of a transmission rate of COM3 (230.4 kBaud).
This module is designed for operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to 60 °C and can be stored in temperatures between -25 to 70 °C. It is rated IP 67, making it suitable for environments with high humidity or dust exposure. The device has undergone rigorous testing, meeting various EMC and shock resistance standards.
