The triangulation sensor is equipped with background suppression, making it suitable for intricate tasks. It operates within a detection range of 7 to 20 mm, with a maximum range reaching up to 25 mm. This sensor utilizes a modulated visible red light source at 660 nm, ensuring precise detection with a light spot diameter of approximately 1.5 mm at 20 mm.

Notably, the sensor has a compact design with dimensions of 31.4 mm in height, 13.9 mm in width, and 18 mm in depth, while its mass is around 10 g. The connection is facilitated through an M8 x 1 connector, featuring a 4-pin configuration. The device is constructed from ABS housing with a glass optical face, ensuring durability.

With an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC, the sensor provides a push-pull output that is short-circuit and reverse polarity protected. It supports a maximum switching voltage of 30 V DC and a switching current of up to 100 mA with a response time of 0.5 ms. The product conforms to the EN 60947-5-2 standard and is rated for high ambient light conditions, allowing operation in environments with continuous light up to 40,000 Lux.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the sensor has an IP67/IP69K protection rating and can operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to 60 °C. The Designation Code for this product is ML4.2-8-H-20-RT/40b/95/110.
