The fiber optic sensor operates effectively with both glass and plastic fibers, offering a detection range of up to 450 mm. It utilizes a modulated visible red light source at 660 nm and is equipped with an external Teach-in function for flexible configuration. The device supports three response times, catering to various operational requirements.
With a robust operating voltage range of 10 ... 30 V DC and a maximum switching current of 100 mA, the sensor is designed for reliable performance. It features a 1 NPN output and supports light/dark switching modes. The unit also includes multiple control elements, such as a Teach-In key and slide switches for timer and operating mode adjustments.
Compliance with EN 60947-5-2:2007 ensures adherence to industry standards, while the sensor's degree of protection rated at IP50 makes it suitable for various environments. The ambient temperature range is specified from -10 ... 55 °C, accommodating diverse operational settings. For additional functionality, the device includes indicators for power status and short-circuit protection.
