The String Combiner Box (SCB), designated as SOL-SC1-18ST-0-F-SD-21, is engineered for photovoltaic systems with system voltage reaching up to 1000 V DC. This unit facilitates the connection of up to 18 strings, providing two-sided protection through an integrated fuse holder and a DC disconnector.

Constructed from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, the box is designed for outdoor installation in roofed areas, avoiding direct sunlight exposure. The dimensions of the housing measure 500 mm in width, 600 mm in height, and 230 mm in depth. It features multiple cable entries secured by cable glands, allowing for a cable cross-section of 4 mm² to 6 mm² for string inputs and up to 120 mm² for output.

Each string can handle a typical current of 9 A, with a maximum of 12.5 A under restricted temperature conditions. The unit includes 15 A fuse-links measuring 10.3 x 38 mm. It adheres to the IEC 61439-2 standards and boasts a protection class of II, an IP65 degree of protection, and an impact strength rating of IK10. The operational ambient temperature range is suitable from -20 °C to 45 °C.
