The Phoenix Contact HC-B24-I-PT-M is a high-quality contact insert designed for power applications. This product features push-in connection technology, allowing for easy installation without tools, even when mounted. The HC-B24-I-PT-M ensures quick and effortless wiring, particularly in tight spaces, and supports automatic cabling with robots. Its color-coded actuators provide safe wiring and operation, while the shock and vibration-resistant design complies with DIN EN 61373. The contact insert offers cost-effective and fast coding with plastic profiles and includes a test pick-off for 2 mm test plugs.
Designed for use in enclosures with IP54 protection or better, the HC-B24-I-PT-M contact insert is ideal for applications requiring reliable power connections. The product accommodates multi-strand conductors with ferrules and operates safely only when there is no load or voltage. With a contact diameter of 2.5 mm and a conductor cross-section range of 0.14 mm² to 2.5 mm², this contact insert supports a rated voltage of 500 V and a rated current of 16 A.
The HC-B24-I-PT-M contact insert is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, with an ambient operating temperature range of -40 °C to 125 °C. The contact material is made of copper alloy with Ag/Sn tarnish protection, and the contact carrier material is PC, meeting fire protection requirements in rail vehicles according to DIN EN 45545-2 (Risk level HL1 - HL3).
