Type S NEMA motor starters are designed to provide full voltage starting and stopping functionality for AC squirrel cage motors. These starters offer ratings up to 810 amperes, catering to a wide range of industrial applications.

The presented Type S motor starter is a non-reversing unit, designated as NEMA Size 1. It features a current rating of 27 amperes and is suitable for 7.5 HP operation at both 200 and 230 VAC, while supporting 10 HP applications when operating at 460 and 575 VAC.

For overload protection, this starter incorporates a melting alloy type overload relay utilizing Type B thermal units to detect overcurrent conditions.
