The Timing Relay, Type JCK, is designed for low-cost timing applications within a plug-in housing. This device operates in an on-delay mode, initiating a time delay upon application of input voltage. Once the delay period—adjustable between 0.3 and 30 seconds—is completed, the relay contacts shift states. In scenarios where the input voltage is removed, the contacts revert to their default state.

This relay is compatible with 8501NR51 and 8501NR52 relay sockets, which can be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail or directly onto a panel, ensuring straightforward installation. Wiring connections are made to the relay socket, facilitating ease of use. The contacts are designed with a DPDT configuration, rated for 10 amperes resistive at both 120 VAC and 240 VAC, and 30 VDC. They also support 3 amperes inductive at the same AC and DC voltages, with 1/3 HP on the NC contacts and 1/2 HP on the NO contacts at 120 VAC and 240 VAC.

This device is powered by 24 VAC/VDC and is UL listed when used with the appropriate relay socket. In terms of environmental compliance, it is UL recognized, CSA certified, and meets various sustainability standards including RoHS exemptions. The ambient air temperature for operation ranges from -18 to 150 °F. Overall dimensions are 61 mm in height, 43 mm in width, and 104 mm in depth.
