The XS2 M12 inductive sensor excels in detecting metal objects without physical contact, thereby preventing wear and allowing for the detection of delicate or freshly painted items. With a sensing distance of 4mm and a robust design, this cylindrical sensor is not suitable for flush mounting. It features a diameter of 12mm and is equipped with a threaded M12 x 1 interface.
Constructed from nickel-plated brass, the sensor is fully encapsulated in resin for enhanced durability in industrial environments. It operates within a voltage range of 12..24 VDC and utilizes a three-wire connection with a PNP solid-state output and a normally open (NO) function. The device can support a maximum load of 200 mA and has a switching frequency of up to 1200 Hz.
Additionally, the sensor is designed to function effectively within a temperature range of -25 to 70 °C and can withstand vibrations up to 25 gn and shocks of 50 gn. The IP67 rating ensures protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for various applications.
