This Type 2 Safety Light Curtain operates using a transmitter-receiver system that generates 13 light beams, providing effective hand protection in industrial environments. With a maximum sensing distance configurable through wiring, it can operate between 0 m to 4 m or 0 m to 12 m, ensuring flexibility based on application needs.
The device is constructed from aluminum with a polycarbonate front panel and polypropylene end caps, offering durability and resistance to environmental factors. Its high reliability is evidenced by a PFHD of 2.55 x 10⁻⁸, aligning with safety standards including category 2 and performance level PL c as specified in EN/ISO 13849-1 and EN/IEC 61508.
Electrical connections are facilitated via a male M12 connector for the transmitter and an M12 connector for the receiver, with a current consumption of 42 mA for the transmitter and 83 mA for the receiver in no-load conditions. The device supports dual-color LEDs for clear local signaling, indicating operational status and faults.
Operating effectively in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +55°C, the light curtain is designed for environments with high standards of safety and performance. The design is compliant with various directives and certifications, ensuring reliability and safety in its intended applications.
